A design I had in mind for Michael Chabon's first novel. It was pretty good, I liked Wonder Boys and The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay much better but it had enough magic to make it memorable. Chabon uses a ton of visual metaphor so it was fun to read as an artist. This illustration is of the Cloud Factory, a backdrop for many important scenes in the story.
