One year ago I was doing these collage illustrations for a cosmetics company. I was influenced by my friend Randy Grskovi c who has been known to do some beautiful collage work (amongst other things). The basic concept was magic + science = cosmetics

A design I had in mind for Michael Chabon's first novel. It was pretty good, I liked Wonder Boys and The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay much better but it had enough magic to make it memorable. Chabon uses a ton of visual metaphor so it was fun to read as an artist. This illustration is of the Cloud Factory, a backdrop for many important scenes in the story.

Back with the blog...First off wanted to show you something I did for EA games. A marketing guy over there saw the Munny show (previous post below) I was in and hired us to do a character each from their new Facebreaker game. I was assigned this robot guy and amongst the artists there was a consensus that is was the hardest one to do. Besides working too many hours for too little money, I had fun doing it. His name is the BFR, the Big Fucking Robot.
