Week 39: September 24 - 30

September 30
If you wear 3D glasses...it still looks pretty crappy.

September 29
Soltron EcoBot. They wear cowboy boots.

September 28
The more I see the general shapes the easier it is to create solid looking things. This one's a goldfish.

September 27
Spirit cocoon swallowed by a nano-organism. Someday will return to physical world once they have merged after many motions have passed.

September 26
I do anything man, any style man, ya man. I do erything.

September 25
Wamp Wamp What it do? What it do? Wamp Wamp What it do? What it do?

Week 38: September 17 - 23

September 23
Soltron robots collect hearts and skulls. They carry them along like balloons until they return to their mothership where they can return them for an exchange of goods and services. Most often the skulls are exchanged for booze and lap dances. The hearts are returned for one year of gauranteed happiness - or they can opt for a health plan.

September 22
Everybody knows that people who work in offices and wear ties are greedy little pigs. It's true, just rebel against it ok?

September 21
So many robots!

September 20
Again and again with the robots, who cares?!

September 19
Ok, these guys are just cute.

September 18
Very robot strength. You can know by curly man hair.

September 17
Just a bunch of little soltron guys.

Week 35: Aug 27-Sept 2

September 2
Coloured pencils on Moleskine paper.

September 1
On Friday evening we went on a bike ride around the city with Critical Mass, where hundreds of cyclists stop traffic and bike around much to the chagrin of the motor vehicle commuters. We seriously stuck it to the man, man. After we were done with the man, we came back to my place and a chill night of drinks and blaze and drawing! This is the one I did of Kara as she was drawing me.

August 31
Talking to my buddy Paul who is in the animation industry. I asked him what I could practice for getting storyboards right, he told me to stick to the basics...These remind me of Calvin and Hobbes, which is actually a great comic strip for posing and simple, expressive drawings.

August 30
Getting very close to putting paint down...Bit nervous about it as usual. All this work done already and I feel like its only been the easy part. I think I'm gonna have to squeeze out some oil paint for the first time since May 2005!

August 29

August 28
I build more for my army.

August 27
These drawings were all on one page, but with other stuff I didn't like. So, here's a little sample of weirdo late night sketches.

Week 34: Aug 20-26

August 26
Been on a Solbot kick of late...

Aug 25
model Sl-p 2.0

August 24
All kinds of robots.

August 23
This was done from a request. We were drinking in Queen E park waiting for the Vancouver Canadians Baseball to start next door at Nat Bailey. I think they asked for the dragon to be eating the branch...and the baby at the bottom (you can see the horrified babysitter there too).

August 22
Left my keys at the volleyball courts the night before, so when I got to work and my boss wasn't there I went down the block to my favourite spot in Chinatown. I can't remember the cross street but its where Chinatown ends and Strathcona begins.

Aug 21
BatBot

August 20
Salmon Arm aftermath.
