Week 29: July 16-22

July 22
Little weeds from Salmon Arm. Also today is the day we welcomed another little baby into my family. My nephew James Cole Walker was born today to give Lil Sophie someone to boss around. Happy Birthday James! Congratulations to Ben and Michelle!

July 21

July 20
Postcard.

July 19
just doodling random figures. Flamenco inspired as I had spent two evenings consecutive watching flamenco for 4 hours each night.

July 18
It says July 17. I switched with the one below so that it was consecutive.

July 17
The Haunted Librarian Final!

July 16
Almost done...just needs some photoshop colouring...

Week 28: July 9 - 15

July 15
Drawn from life in industrial area in the downtown eastside. So edgy.

July 14
Feet, Sandals and Socks. Drawn from life. The foot model Kara is available for bookings.

July 13
Dug this one up. Forgotten long ago I figured finding a drawing today was more fun than doing one. And I really like this. It was a surprise to find it...

July 12

July 11
Playing with pen strokes. Mom's b-day. Sorry for the scary pic Mom, didn't have much time to do drawings that day!

July 10

July 9

My Pop's b-day today so I drew a pic of him. I didn't do one of mom whose b-day is two days later. He's easier to draw cuz he has so many deep lines in hs face. This is him maybe at 4o though not 61.

July 2
Sketch phase for Haunted Librarian job. This is the final sketch, the one that got approval. I then transferred this to some Rives BFK print paper and redrew the whole darn thing...watch for the final version in a post soon (July 16th to be exact). The darker areas were done in photoshop to give me an idea where my lights and darks were going to be and how they would look.

Week 26: June 25-July 1

July 1
Happy Canada Day! Some idiot(s) put up posters around Commercial Drive calling for a rally today for Anti-Canada Day. What a joke. Seriously, sometimes there is this wierd Canadian leftist (not even? maybe its Idiotist. Or Anarchist.) faux-radicalism that just boggles my mind. Anti-Canada Day? Are you against Canada as a whole or just the idea of having a day for Canada. As Morgan suggested maybe its because they are protesting that we don't celebrate Canada EVERY day. Let's hope so. Today's drawing is called shooting stars and I want to make it a painting someday, with a gradient sky and a couple twinklers above him.

June 30
I can never remember the name of this park but its where Big Dogg used to always blaze and it's at Alma and Cornwall, just east of the tennis club. I had great light around 9 pm.

June 29
Remember that really embarrassingly lo-budget show the littlest hobo? It was about a dog who went around Canada helping people Lassie style but he was a vagrant, hopping on trains and the back of bike baskets etc. It was kinda sad and cute. Well, here's the littlest Robo named Nano who, um, kills people.

June 28
Ninja.

June 27
A mysterious boy hides behind a skull-like idol in a clearing of a dense forest.

June 26

Pretty much final sketch with colour for the murale I am going to put up at my office. My boss gave me free reign and encouraged craziness and confusion. Our clients won't understand it and I'll laugh and shrug my shoulders. The Lemonade words as seen below will be running vertically down the right side now.

June 25
See above.

Week 25: June 18-24

June 24
Another Re-draw. I think this one is going somewhere.

June 23
Wrong pose. It's supposed to be "ssshhh" instead its "I'm naughty" when I actually wanted both.

June 22
Penny.

June 21
Ms. Bird

June 20
Chuck Jones inspired.

June 19
The professor. Looks too much like a drunk.

June 18
Perhaps part 2 of this here.
